In 1986, The Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society awarded Temple Sinai the Historical Landmark award.  The Historical Landmark award was created to encourage the preservation of historical buildings, objects, and places relating to the history of Louisiana and Calcasieu Parish. It has been our honor to preserve and protect our synagogue through the years!
